If you are interested in supporting the Documenting Venture Smith Project, you can choose to donate at any level, or become a sponsor of a key objective of the Project. Current objectives include the development of the Project Website, a Traveling Poster Exhibit, and the production and distribution of related educational materials to schools and libraries. Credit card payments will be processed using PayPal's secure processing forms. The Beecher House Center for the Study of Equal Rights is a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, therefore all donations to The Project are tax deductible.
Donate at any level:
Sponsor Educational Materials for a State: The Project is producing a CD by scholar Robert L. Hall, reading Venture Smith’s Narrative (running time approximately one hour), and a hand-stitched reprint of the original Narrative. They will be donated to middle school, high school, and public libraries. The Documenting Venture Smith Project website will link them to lesson plans for all levels of classroom instruction and a traveling poster exhibit. Sponsors can underwrite the gift of the CD or the narrative for a specific state. The cost to produce and distribute each unit is $2.25 for the CD and $2.75 for the narrative.
